Texas! (& Deaf Interpreters too!)
Hi friends! (If anyone is still with me after this LONG hiatus …)
Or should I say, “Hi, y’all!”
Yes, I’m in Texas one session into the “new” women’s retreat that I’m hoping will serve as a foundation for the CONTENT of the dvd series we’re taping in March.
It is always such a privilege to be with God’s people!
And so humbling too–
Last night I was overwhelmed with the thought of my own inadequacy when it comes to sharing this message of how the gospel transforms our lives (not just forgives our past sins and secures our future eternity–but actually brings real and present benefits to our lives TODAY!).
I just see so many (many!) areas in my own life that are so desperately in need of change and growth in grace (sanctification).
And yet–I just do my best and beg God’s mercy. What else can I do?
And what else need I do but run to Him?
I think they are audio taping this event–so maybe I’ll be able to share it with you guys.
And I KNOW that they are videotaping it onto DVDs with DEAF INTERPRETERS!
(How cool is that? Man! Their fingers and hands were FLYING!)
I guess the video will have me speaking and then the interpreters in a little “box” off in the corner/side. (Didn’t they have that on Sesame Street when we were little? Any children of the 70’s out there?)
Anyway–the interpreters were incredibly sweet and obviously gifted and SO gracious about my rate of speech. How I pray that their ministry will be blessed!
OK–off to teach three more sessions today. Please pray for all of these precious ladies–and for my efforts too–if we flit through your hearts today.
Thanks, friends!
Much love,
Tara B.
